Teaching Laboratories Ex-Lolli Area, Imola

The Ex-Lolli Labs consist of five Teaching Laboratories and an Instrument Room. For FaBiT department, the building hosts the teaching activities for the Master Degree in Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences, in Health Biology (Nutritional Curriculum) and the 2^ level Master in Forensic Chemical and Chemical-Toxicological Analysis.

Bio-Toxicological Laboratory (24 workstations)

In this laboratory, activities related to cell toxicology, plant biology and microbiological validation of phytoderivatives are carried out. It has a CO2 incubator, seven laminar flow hoods and instrumentation for molecular biology.

Chemical-Analytical Laboratory (32 workstations)

In this laboratory, chemical exercises are carried out in the field of basic chemistry and advanced chemistry, both analytical and extractive. Each station is equipped with a mobile fume filtration arm, together with two HPLC-PDAs, four rotavapors with dedicated cryostats, four safety fume hoods, four cabinets for flammables, glassware and dedicated instruments. 

Laboratory of Microscopy (18 workstations)

It is equipped with six stereo-microscopes and 30 optical microscopes and a microscope enabled for multimedia transmission of images.

Laboratory of Microbiology (18 workstations)

It is equipped with instruments for experimental activities in the microbiological and molecular field.

Technological-Pharmaceutical Laboratory (24 workstations)

It is equipped for experimental activities in the field of pharmaceutical technology. It has seven encapsulators, two turboemulsifiers, a viscometer and specific equipment for the preparation of semi-solid and liquid pharmaceutical forms, as well as six fume hoods, two cabinets for flammables and one for acid and basic compounds. In this laboratory, practical activities in herbal products technology and phytocosmetic formulation are carried out.

Instrument Room

Four UV spectrophotometers, an IR spectrophotometer, two polarimeters, two refractometers, a plate reader with dedicated computer, two UV lamps for TLC detection and a gas chromatograph with FID detector are available.
